farewell to griswold

Christmas has come and gone... and so has our beloved little elf, Griswold. My little B's knew that on Christmas Eve night before they went to bed they had to say their goodbyes to their tiny magical friend. As they learned last year, Griswold only gets to stay with us until Christmas, and then he must return to the North Pole for the rest of the year preparing for the next holiday season.

Griswold's final landing spot in our home was upon our Christmas cookie jar. He just looks so happy here doesn't he?!?

Berkley and Beckham wanted to take a final picture with their elf before saying goodbye.
A final wave from Griswold's biggest fans. (Hopefully Brenner will have this guy figured out next year!) It is definitely bittersweet when Griswold leaves. It is exciting because my little B's realize that his departure means Santa is headed our way. However, it is sad for them to say goodbye to their little elf who has spent an entire month with us. Oh how they have enjoyed waking up each morning to search our house for Griswold's new landing spot. Mommy really hates to see Griswold leave too. In fact, I really think Santa needs to consider letting him live with us year round!!! He is a tiny guy, but he has so much power! He is definitely a reminder for the kids to check their behavior frequently. So, along with my little B's, I will anxiously await his arrival next year. Until then, farewell friend!
